Weddings, showers, BBQ’s, birthdays, corporate events and fundraisers. If there’s a reason to celebrate, we will be there!
Do you provide the alcohol?
No, our converted horse trailer bar is a dry hire bar. Because of strict CA laws we do NOT supply or sell any alcohol. This may sound like a bummer, but it is not necessarily a bad thing. Traditional bartenders and caterers with a liquor license will up-sell and charge a per person, per hour rate and you still must rent the bar. Even if your guests do not drink the per person, per hour amount, you still cover the cost of all alcohol.
By purchasing your own alcohol directly, you can price shop at any preferred discounted store or vendor. You can also keep any unopened bottles and enjoy later or use for a day after event brunch!
Non-alcoholic event? No problem, we are happy to create some tasty mocktails, frozen slushies and beautiful beverages for any age group. The options are endless and we’ll have you covered.
How does this work?
So glad you asked! Drink packages start around $135 per hour. Because all events are unique, your package will need to be customized to fit your budget and the ideal vision of your event. So, simply send us your contact info or email address. Based on your event specifications we will send you a personalized quote by email.
Between 30-60 days before your event we will schedule an in-person consultation to go over signature drink recipes, changes and/or any additions that you may request for your special day. We will also go over a shopping list for ingredients needed for your event.
Is a deposit required?
Yes – it sure is. To secure your event date a 50% non-refundable retainer fee, signed contract and liability release is required. Full payment is due two weeks prior to your actual event.
Before signing a contract and securing your date, check with your venue regarding any policies they might have regarding outside vendors. We are always happy to meet with them in-person.
What about permits or insurance?
Your venue may have questions about our insurance coverage. Horsing Around Events carries a $1,000,000. general liability and liquor liability insurance policy. If required, we are happy to add your venues name to our policy as additionally insured.
What is the trailer’s space requirements?
Our converted horse trailer bar is about the size of a Pop-up tent. It measures 12’L x 8’H x 7’W and is equipped with a three tap kegerator, wine fridge, cocktail ice chest and handwashing station. We prefer a flat, easily accessible area with 120v standard outlet within 100 feet. We can always provide our generator (for an additional charge) if electricity is not available. Early access to the venue is a must to setup and stock the bar appropriately. We would be happy to visit your specific venue in advance to work with and ensure the accommodation of our horse trailer bar.
